Help with TLDR Classic

Delete your account

Open Settings › App › Delete account and confirm. Your account, your entries in Mine, your settings and your bill photos are deleted straight away. This can’t be undone.

If you share Ours, it stays with your partner, and your past entries there show as Former member.

Deleting the account doesn’t cancel a subscription, so cancel Pro first. If the app can’t finish deleting, write to hello@tldrmoney.in and we’ll delete it within 7 days.

Cancel Pro

Apple handles subscriptions, so you cancel in your Apple Account settings, not in the app.

1. In the app, open Settings › Plan › Manage subscription. Or open the iPhone Settings app and tap your name › Subscriptions.
2. Choose TLDR Classic and tap Cancel Subscription.

Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Restore purchases

On a new iPhone, or after reinstalling, open Settings › Plan › Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought Pro with.

Join a partner’s Ours

Ours is the ledger you share with one partner. Inviting needs Pro, and joining gives you Pro through your partner’s plan.

1. Your partner opens Settings › Shared ledger › Ours › Invite a partner and shares the code. It’s 8 characters, like K7M2 QXAB, and works once, for 7 days.
2. On your iPhone, open Settings › Shared ledger › Ours › Join a partner’s ledger.
3. Type the code, tap Continue, then Join.

Your own entries stay in Mine, which only you can see.

Export your data

Open Settings › Your data.

Download raw data gives you everything the app holds for you as a JSON file, deleted entries included. It’s free on every plan.

Formatted export shares a period of your ledger as a CSV or PDF, grouped by category. It’s part of Pro.

What the AI sees, and turning it off

Most lines are read on your iPhone. The app asks before it uses AI, and only then sends Claude, by Anthropic, the least it needs:

• A line your iPhone can’t read: that line, your category names, your currency, today’s date, your time zone and your month’s start day.
• An Ask question: the question, your category and tag names, in Ours the name your partner chose, your currency, today’s date and your month’s start day.
• A name it can’t place in a category: up to 20 entry names, or the category names in a file you import, with your category names.

Your amounts and totals, notes, profile details and account number are never sent. Anthropic doesn’t use any of it to train its models.

To turn it off, open Settings › Privacy and switch off AI features. Everything else keeps working. A line your iPhone can’t read stays on Home marked AI is off, and tapping it opens the form. Ask needs AI features on.
